When I look at the bloodied, tortured, beaten, devastated body of Christ on the cross, I am looking straight into the face of evil on earth. Try not to be offended by the fact that we are all capable of perpetuating those kinds of acts. We are. And some of us do them to ourselves. Jesus took that to the cross so we can be free. We can stop mentally beating ourselves up, we can stop overeating, we can stop drinking, we can stop smoking, we can stop sleeping with someone who isnt our spouse, we can stop whatever self destructive behavior were doing because..LOOK...its there...there on the cross! He took it with Him. He loves you that much. Isaiah 53:5 The Voice (VOICE) 5 But he was hurt because of us; he suffered so. Our wrongdoing wounded and crushed him. He endured the breaking that made us whole. The injuries he suffered became our healing.
