When I met Layka and her handler Moon Herefords this past Saturday I was overtaken with the magnitude of the task we have at hand. As I walked over to greet Layka, I called her name and she literally jumped over to me. It was almost as if she knew we were going to do something for her. This monument project we are working on is for War Dogs just like her. She is an American hero. The public doesnt realize what these dogs do to defend our nation and protect our soldiers. If you want to help us build a monument to Layka and her fellow War Dogs, spread the word about our page. Invite all of your friends to our page and our events. We havent even scratched the surface of what we need to raise so if anyone wants to donate you can go to hooahinc.org and there is a drop down box on the lower left that is designated K9 Monument. We are currently planning more events for the Spring and need lots of participation. Spread the word please! RLTW!!
