When I preach a funeral, my job is not to put people in heaven or hell. I do not know where anyone goes, and no one knows where I will be, except the Lord himself. He does know, because there is nothing hid from him. I only tell the good memories and good deeds that I know about. The funeral is for the family, because that person is forever gone to the next place. It is a memorial service to honor that person and to help the hurting hearts and to remember the fun times and to love each other as we are all going to go by the way of death more than likely. There are people that I am very sure that are in heaven, and some that I wonder about, but only the all knowing God knows our true destiny. He knows the motivations of the heart. Joe George.
