When I proposed a bill to improve the transportation system of the Philippines, detractors argued that my ideas were unrealistic because the Philippines is poor and is a third world country. I told them that poverty and the concept of the third world are socially constructed. Unfortunately, disparagers of my idea outnumber the bright minds who supported it. Now I am taking the Uneven Development Geographies: Prosperity and Impoverishment in Third World class at UCLA, and I am comforted with the fact that the readings required for this course holds the same opinions as I do. In other words, scholars on the topic of development and poverty agrees with me! To all those who tried to shut down my bill, and I know several of you are my Facebook friends, EAT THIS KNOWLEDGE THAT I AM SLAPPING TO YOUR FACES YOU NARROW MINDED FIENDS! LOL! (Nothing personal, I just wanted to say that as a rhetoric) =)))) Dont ever think that the Philippines cannot anymore improve from its dire state because of its current disposition. Avoiding innovation to change the Philippine due to the fact that the country is lacking money is a lame excuse of cowards and weak-hearted lazy individuals.
