When I purchased my very first camera in 2008 which was a Canon Point and Shoot, little did I realize that this hobby would turn me into a photographer who wanted to know what all the buttons meant and what Fstops, aperture, and ISO meant. Shutter speed and metering light and all the learning you go through. For me photography is so much more and I had no idea what lies behind it all. Determination, hunger to learn more every day and patience, but mostly dedication in becoming a better photographer. Photography brings me more joy than I would have ever encountered and the pursuit of that next shot will always be there. There were many times I wanted to give up and my stubbornness didnt allow for it. I continue learning everything I can and still to this day have so much more to do. I will consider myself above average with what I do only because the facets in photography are so many and the journey of my work endless. This weekend warrior is always looking for that perfect shot; however its always the next picture. For those of you who want to just throw in the towel and give up, I encourage you to get back in the saddle and reach out to all of us who once wished if only I could take a photograph like that. Yes it is extremely hard work and patience of a mule required and if it werent for my photographer friends that guided me along the way I wouldnt have ever come to this point in my world of learning the true colors of what photography is all about. Thank you Chet Nichols, Charles Howse, George, Stacy Hokett, Jerome GO, Esty Ashdji-Mickens, Debra Kapustin, René Ferrer Jimenéz ,John Francis, Susan Triano Germyn-Francis, Jesse Walker and everyone that would give me a trick or two in my pursuit. Though I drive my hubby crazy, its his fault as he is the one that supported my mission and funding of arsenal.
