When I put it into words it sounds so over-simplified, but it seems like all there is the source, and the experience. The source seems to do whatever it wants, including creating the thing experiencing it, and the one experiencing seems to have little ability to influence the source. At times its like finding out you won a lottery you never entered, and at times its like waking up in prison having never committed a crime. Some times its ridiculously good, and all there is is thankfulness, and some times you wonder how this happened without consent, how did the contract to exist take place, and why is there no option to opt-out? When I look at the statistical probability of there being a universe, one able to sustain life, and to be an active observer of that universe, its purely daunting, like all of us won the largest lottery of all time, and yet the trials are so hard that often we wish we never won. I want to take the optimistic view of reality and appreciate every moment, though its often tough to appreciate the trials and tribulations of life (this coming from someone who lives in one of the most privileged nations of the world). That being said, I think Wendel Berry said it best when he said; “There are no unsacred places; there are only sacred places and desecrated places.”
