When I read things like this...I often wonder...what was he thinking when he joined this group? Hes not that old? Did he just join the group because it was the party of his parents? Most of us end up very closely mirroring what our parents did in the world of beliefs. I always appreciate when people leave groups so self-focused, in order to be more other and outwardly focused. I can only hope he learns though, that as humans...we dont organize into groups that are highly effective and functional, as much as we organize into groups that move to become highly ineffective and dysfunctional. Were a mess...and our groups reflect that. We prefer beliefs to figuring out what is real...prefer beliefs to knowledge...as there is so much less work required when we choose to believe. What brings you today, to talk to me? the Master asked. I have wandered for some time...leaving my job, my home, my family. Ive left it all, because I seek to know what I must do, to find Enlightenment. the man replied. The Master looked sadly upon the man. Finally he spoke. You must be alone for 40 yrs. Startled, taken aback...the man was more than a little surprised. Yet...he wanted to know. And then? he said. And then... the Master sighed...you will be use to it.
