When I said yes to Jesus, I wasnt saying yes to ministry or to the great commission, but to the greatest commandment, and that is To Love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength. Somehow I found myself in ministry but it has never been my passion, nor will it ever. I dont fit in with many of my ministry peers for this reason. Ive found myself on large platforms next to famous people, yet I still prefer the gutters with the least of these. I say this to encourage you all, that despite the challenges of life and even MINISTRY... its very possible to maintain your 1st love. We do this by prayer and study of the word and then doing your best to love your neighbors as yourself. Ive had good days and Ive had not so good days, but never a bad day. At my worst Im still loved, and at my best, I have much room to improve. The key is perspective. Never allow things on the outside to dictate your passion for Jesus. Remember that moment when your heart first said yes, and remember who, not what, you said yes to.
