When I sang with some singers from Sioux Valley, and from Alberta from Cold Lake area. We sang those ceremony songs nsync, we harmonized as one, our voices all the same thru each and every song we sang. It felt good to sit there and feel like I belonged in that community, we sang our hearts out and our voices were loud. Singing those ceremony songs on the big drum, and hearing our voices all sounding the same was an intense emotional feeling. Its like going on a roller coaster ride, and you get that butterfly effect, yes! That feeling when youre on beat, harmonized as one. It is a feeling I cant wait to go back to next year, but only this time I will be dancing to those songs. :-) I miss the ceremony even tho its been a few weeks, even days from the last time I danced. I cant stop thinking about it :-) Like a brother said not long ago When I am in here, it feels like home. Hoka! I understand what he meant now.
