When I say the product is bad all Im saying Id that I dislike it. I have many friends who agree with me, but I know WWE isnt making $1million+ a year because everyone hates it. Im training to be a wrestler because I love wrestling. WWE made me love it. All Im saying is the ratings dropped. Nicky Veil(TuckerR.) I think the best perspective I can share with you is this... People gravitate toward like minded people. In the case of opinions being mistaken for facts consider that in all likelihood EVERYONES opinions are shared by most or all the people they know. So unless an individual also has hands on experience and education in said subject...its very easy for the individual to mistake their opinion for a majority opinion and even worse, a fact. Social media has made this complex worse in people because of the ability it gives us to socialize. And it makes people with no hands on experience in something exponentially more ignorant in nature because shared ignorant opinions give a false sense of entitlement or accomplishment. Also consider this when thinking about minority or majority opinion. Most people on social networks that might share your opinion are likely age 16-35. It almost completely doesnt represent kids and elders who dont care at all about the splitting hair fickle opinions of die hard fans but are still fans of the product themselves and also contributing to the companies financial success. And of that 16-35 age group that is on social media, its likely that over half of them dont quite agree with each other either... So think about the living in a bubble complex when considering that when some of these people think that so many of their friends and people they know share their opinion....we are talking about a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a group of people. Logically thats nowhere near a majority and shouldnt be surprising that a massive company isnt budging just for their opinions. Also consider this illusion. How easy is it for 1 person to get 100 people at a party to chant drink! Or shot!?? Very easy. Even people that arent into partying and/or drinking can get lost in that moment and chant along. Now put 100 of those people in an arena with 10,000 others. Same deal. Often die hard fans think their power is being heard thru noise like that. But its often an illusion. Steve Austin has been gone for about a decade. Many wrestling fans age 15-21 probably have never seen him perform or were too young to remember. And yet these people that never knew him will chant what!? During promos in the arena. Im willing to bet half the people who chant yes! Dont realize its even Bryans thing. We all chant da da da da da da charge! At ball games, and even people who arent baseball fans know the words to take me out to the ball game. ...but they arent all buying season tickets or even their own ticket to get in sometimes. Its just another illusion where people can get fooled in the moment by like minded people around them into thinking they are part of something bigger than they really are. Im willing to bet Cena fans chant yes! When Bryan fights Cena....then they go buy a Cena shirt and lineup for a Cena autograph. Its really hard for fans to step back and see the broad view on all this. Via Ask.FM
