When I see videos like this I have two thoughts at the same time. In one sense I am totally thrilled and glad to see justice served to these wicked men. In another sense, I have deep sorrow at the loss of human life when I see fathers of children and sons of parents and image bearers of God destroyed even if justice warranted it. This is the same thing we see in God when we see all that He said in Scripture. God both delights in the judgment and ruin of evil men and weeps over them at the same time. Deuteronomy 28:63 63 And as the LORD took delight in doing you good and multiplying you, so the LORD will take delight in bringing ruin upon you and destroying you. And you shall be plucked off the land that you are entering to take possession of it. Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, As I live, declares the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel? Jeremiah 9:24 24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.”
