When I started at Southend Ymca 5 years ago, I thought I was just taking a job to tread water for a few months and could never have imagined forming such dear friendships or be doing such meaningful work. Just cos you work with people, it doesnt mean these colleagues will become friends but if youre very lucky, thats exactly what happens and if youre even luckier if all your kids get on famously too! Were saying goodbye tonight to our dear friend Anna whos emigrating to China to teach in an international school. Bon voyage lovely lady - wishing you and your gorgeous family safe passage and a wonderful new life - but we wont half miss you xx
