When I started telling some of these old stories I thought Id be going out to he sprint path, didnt plan on going the full 3/8th. I hope Ive helped to bring life to some of the early times in this business and personality to those who started it and kept it going when some of those times were far from easy. I hope theyve brought as much enjoyment to others as they have to me in remembering them. I might from time to time think of another one, but for now, at least, the old brain has been wrung out and squeezed dry. I cant forget to say that when this greyhound industry started, there were no instruction books. It was trial and error, and many mistakes were made, but when all is considered, those pioneers did a pretty good job in putting together an industry that has brought livelihood and pleasure to a great many people.
