When I started the system (https://tenderforme) I had the emphasis - TopicsExpress

When I started the system (https://tenderforme) I had the emphasis on the client as we are all clients most of the time. When we are suppliers we do have the interest of the client at heart and we aim to please (actually, I hope so but do not always feel it). Keeping that in mind, why is it necessary for the client to have to struggle to find someone to complete a job for him/her? Why does the client have to repeat the parameters of the job to any number of suppliers? Will the person I choose be a gamble? And so on… But then, the other side of the coin is also true, why do the supplier have to worry about where the next job is going to come from? Will the money spent on advertising pay off? There are many of these questions both the client and supplier have to work through regularly. I do realise there are a lot of stress on the supplier side as there are no guarantees that there will be money to put the food on the table at the end of the month. On the client side there is a lot of frustrations. The budget is there and the plan for what must be done is there. There are therefore not worries about putting food on the table (I hope), but finding someone almost makes it not worth it and I sincerely think sometimes that is the result, which means some opportunities are lost. When I finished the reasoning with myself, I decided that both sides should benefit from the result. There should be a two way street, if I need a job done, all suppliers qualified for that particular job type should have equal opportunity to tender for that job. The client has the benefit that suppliers are in competition for the job and that would result in a fair and reasonable price.
