When I started to examine what I had been taught about end times, - TopicsExpress

When I started to examine what I had been taught about end times, I was shocked at how vague the teaching was. When I wanted to study a subject, I would look up all the words relative to that subject and be able to see the picture of what the Word taught on that subject fairly clearly. When I tried to do that on the end times, I became more and more confused. Eventually, I rejected the pre-tribulation rapture and believed God would protect us even if we went through it. I had caught a vision of the glorious church that Christ was going to present to Himself when He returned. One thing I knew: we werent there yet! As I continued to seek out what the truth was, I came to know what I didnt any longer believe before I knew what I now believed. Probably the great shift came when I read a book that showed that the tribulation that many in the Church were expecting, took place previous to the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. At this point, once convinced of the sound straightforward teaching of the Scriptures on this subject, a cloud lifted off of my life and I know longer feared the oppression that seemed to lurk over myself and many others in the Church. It was a simple matter of comparing the three gospels that elaborated on this (Matthew, Mark and Luke) side-by-side and letting them speak for themselves. Jesus was prophesying the destruction of the Temple and the plundering of Jerusalem. It happened just as He said - in 70 AD, No end time tribulation in our future.
