When I think about a year ago this time, I am filled with awe and wonder of Gods grace and His demonstration of healing power. The days, weeks and months following Annabelles birth should have been celebratory and blissful, but the true reality is that it was a very hard, dark and challenging time for me. Im not sure why I faced challenge after challenge but I do know that God was there with me through each obstacle and I give Him all the glory. All week my mind has been going back and thinking of all the things I was not able to do for Annabelle as a new Mom. However, after reading my morning devotion, God revealed something to me. I have to let go of past hurts in order for Him to use them for His glory in my life. I dont have to be perfect because He is. There are no accidents with God, nor is He surprised by anything or anyone in the life of His child. God uses even the most horrendous circumstances for our good. Every circumstance comes to us for a purpose, bound by God’s love and plan, and faithfully delivered with His permission. While we cannot go back and change our past, we can change the way we respond to our past, and determine how much power it has in our lives today.
