When I think of the wisdom and scope of His plan, I fall down on my knees and pray to the Father of all the great family of God—some of them already in heaven and some down here on earth. (Eph 3:14-15 TLB) God is a Father. The wisdom and scope of the plan of God is to have a great and big family in Christ. Those who believe in Jesus has been given the right to be part of this great family. John 1:12, But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. The church is the only entity that does not loose her member by death. The family of God comprises of both the saints in heaven and saints on earth. Heb 12:22-24 (TLB), But you have come right up into Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the gathering of countless happy angels; and to the church, composed of all those registered in heaven; and to God who is Judge of all; and to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven, already made perfect; and to Jesus himself, who has brought us his wonderful new agreement; and to the sprinkled blood, which graciously forgives instead of crying out for vengeance as the blood of Abel did. Even angels of God call us fellow servants in this great family. Rev 19:9-10 (NIV), Then the angel said to me, Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb! And he added, These are the true words of God. At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.” The purpose of God is to gather all of us together in Christ, so that we can be with Him forever. Eph 1:10 (TLB), And this was His purpose: that when the time is ripe He will gather us all together from wherever we are—in heaven or on earth—to be with Him in Christ forever. Father, thank You for bringing me into Your great family, help me to be a worthy son IJN. Amen!
