When I used to attend parties and clubs, I could often times see this feeling of worthlessness or self-hate in the eyes of many of the dancers and speech processors . I found myself questioning why do they do it, what events have led them up to that point? Realistically I could never find these answers, however my point is that it is a form of distraction from something greater. Places like these are in some ways an attempt to distract the brain from pursuing endeavours relative to gaining knowledge of self. We set so many roadblocks up for ourselves, we have a high tendency to be out of touch with the environment around us. We look down up other cultures who do not share the same beliefs we do or are not at the same relevant sense of technological advancement. But ask yourself this, "What does it mean to truly be advanced?" In my opinion there is a larger elephant in the room that is not being discussed. There is something concealed in the world behind the one that is tangible to us. It seems that with proper knowledge it can be readily seen. However, true knowledge in an age where media is a controlling titans all its own is highly difficult and also knowledge itself is a burden not all of us are meant to carry as individual.
