When I want to define what this word INTERGRITY and PRINCIPLE means,i dont need any dictionary to get the meanings. All I have to do is to take a closer look at my Mum and fiaaaan, the meaning is right there. There are countless reasons I can give to justify it but my phone conversation with her just now prompted and motivated me to write this. You know...its has been a ritual between my mum and I that we must talk to each other everyday ...even when I forgot, she would call and sometimes , she does not know the appropriate time to call but its all ok. At times, i would be like... but we talked yesterday naaa and she would go Anyasi Ebuka So, as we were talking now, something that happened in last Anambra gubernatorial election became our centre of discussion. So ,I asked her again, what really made you not to sell your vote and also rejected the money they offered for you to share and to use it to convince other women to vote in their favour? She quickly said, what for? Would their money solve all our problems? For the the fact they have the audacity to flaunt their ill gotten money to get our votes, that alone speaks volume that they are not going to work but to recuperate all they shared .. I queried her further , mum, you rejected the money but your assistant collected it, shared it to other women and at end of it all, they abandoned you on what you all have agreed which is to vote accordingly ...they went ahead to vote not according to their conscience. Your voice and few others became lone She laughed...and said, are they not seeing the effect now ? Has the 4 liters of kerosene, school bags,salt,rice,stew lol etc not finished? Are they not back to square one?... I keep telling them..but they prefer selling their children future away. She continued, Odudu Nwa, ( last born) as she fondly calls me... I saw our next president ! Curiously I asked her..next president? Who? Where? You forgot that over the weekend, your daddy friend was buried and he came to that burial. All these time, I pretended that I did not know whom she was referring to. She continued, as he entered , the whole place went agog, people wanted see him and they began chanting Buhari, Buhari, man of action, man of no nonsense, man of discipline etc. oh... I said, was that happened? She answered yes. you seems to forget that Ichie Chike Offordile was attorney General during his Tenure? Mum, I know and I remembered! So I said to her, mum, may God bless your pure spirit ... I wont let you down my mummy. Remain who you are... Thank you my daughter! O ga diri gi nma!
