When I was 17 or 18 the drinking age was 18 and I had an ID that showed me a year older when I was 17. I was in my white Toyota Tiera with Brian York and Dave Brown on 211 headed toward Dino’s which was a college drinking hole in Middletown. Somehow we got in back of Randy Bullis and Kurt somebody and Dave Brown said I was going to fast anyway so not to pass them. There was no red light at Scotchtown Road then as there is in the following link, just stop signs on Scotchtown Road. Randy and Kurt were side by side but from some reason that Randy didnt even know, he decided to drop back about 10 feet. When we approached Scotchtown Road, some lady in a station wagon didn’t see the stop sign or 211 (she was young, I’m thinking pot or drunk) and she when right through the stop sign. I can still see Kurt spattering off the side of that station wagon. We thought he must be dead when they put him in the ambulance but somehow he made it.
