When I was 23 years old I went on vacation to the Virgin Islands with my girlfriend Val. We went to St. Johns for the day and while laying on the beach were told that John McVie owned the house about a half a mile down the road. I immediately went into stalker mode. The three fences and one rock wall that separated me from that house were no obstacle. If you remember the cover of the Tusk album you will remember the dog on it. Well that dog was in the yard! The house was wide open as it was being remodeled. With Val behind me cowering, I marched into that house in what could possibly be the worlds smallest leopard bikini (what was I thinking?) and asked the construction guys if this was John McVies house. At that moment John walks around the corner. I proceed to go slightly berserk and turn into Barbara Walters asking him every detail of his life as well as the lives of the other band members aka Stevie Nicks!! The fact that he did not have us arrested or kick us out of the house still amazes me! I was not the full-blown mamarazzi that I am now, but I did manage to get this picture. I wonder if he wouldve recognized me if I had somehow gotten on that stage last night... That second picture is us backstage with the Commodores on that same trip but thats another story 😂😂
