When I was a judo player Im college, sets of 100 non-stop - TopicsExpress

When I was a judo player Im college, sets of 100 non-stop uchi-komi (throwing repetition practice) were the norm, and getting through one and still be breathing was a thing to be proud of. I will never expose the bulk of my students to that sort of training. Why? Because practice doesnt make perfect, it makes permanent. Most students at best can nail the first 10-15 reps fine, and then form breaks. Posture gets compromised, footwork gets sloppy, insufficient pull, etc. and that becomes the standard for the rest of the set. At this point Which is more likely to get locked into your muscle memory?
