When I was a kid, my old man turned me on to a lot of the artists - TopicsExpress

When I was a kid, my old man turned me on to a lot of the artists who played Woodstock. He had all their records. (Yes kids, RECORDS. Vinyl? LPs? Google it.) One record I used to play often was Mad Dogs and Englishmen. Partially because I loved how silly Joe Cocker looked trying to make his bicep look bigger. Eccentric as he sounded and physically performed, there was just SOMETHING about his style I liked. Later on in my teens, I found myself steering away from a lot of the oldies and exploring the music of the current times. My girlfriend dragged me to go see the ice skating romantic movie The Cutting Edge. Fighting the urge to sleep through it, I heard a familiar voice singing the theme song and was reminded how much I admired him. Rest in peace, Joe Cocker. https://youtube/watch?v=cFtSfQCpZec
