When I was a little boy, I had the amazing good fortune to have a grandmother who loved me unconditionally. Every interaction that I had with her confirmed that I am a beautiful soul, worthy of love and in turn, capable of love. Although she has been gone for over 25 years, her unconditional love lives on inside of me. It serves as an example of how I would like to interact with everyone and everything on the planet. Her memory is a reminder to me that I am here to love and be loved. I also have the amazing good fortune to know and have known other people (many of whom read these daily inspirations), who seem to have an automatic response to people and situations that comes from a place of love rather than fear. They seem to understand on a very deep level that our purpose here is to foster love…. to love and be loved. It is easy to forget that our mission is to learn and teach unconditional love. If you, like many of us, have been raised in a fear-based family system, the concept of unconditional love is a bit hard to fathom…. And to extend that unconditional love to everyone and everything seems virtually impossible. However, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be striving to master love. We strive to achieve so many other things in our lives, shouldn’t love be at the top of our list? Make a decision for love. Throughout your day, remind yourself that you are love in motion, attracting it and exuding it. Think of love as having an unlimited supply.. the more you give, the more there is to give.. The more you receive, the more there is to receive. Expect to be loved…. Because you are. And so it is
