When I was a teenager, I was really frustrated by all of the bands - TopicsExpress

When I was a teenager, I was really frustrated by all of the bands that I wanted to see having 21+ shows all of the time. I was 17 before I saw my first concert (Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails first tour, with MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO (official) opening. It was awesomely intense. I managed to miss all of Fugazis shows, which were always All Ages, until I was 18 or 19. Later on, around the mid 1990s, the Foxfire Lounge opened across the street from the Fine Line Music Cafe. The Foxfire was awesome because it only did All Ages shows, and, though I was well into my 20s by then, I still loved that there was a successful, cool, All Ages venue that got really great shows. This is one of the main reasons we do so many All Ages shows. Yes, we love playing for young kids and families, but we also love playing for the older kids that cant come to the 331 Club every Monday night. Weve got another great week of All Ages shows starting tomorrow morning (Wed Apr 9), with our monthly Wee Wednesday at Midtown GlobalMarket, 10:30 - 11:15 AM for FREE! Saturday, Apr 12, is our penultimate monthly Bluegrass Brunch at the aster cafe. 11 AM - 1 PM, FREE, ALL AGES!
