When I was a teenager bands like Beatles, Stones, Monkees or whomever had to do whatever they could with their 4 or 5 piece lineup to reproduce on stage what they did in the studio. (Davy Jones had to learn to play drums on some songs so Mickey Dolenz got his share of being the front man) Later the Stones got a pianist, horns and later still - backing vocals. Nowadays a live show like Kylie or whomever is so heavily produced that her vocals are strengthened so much by backing backing tracks that she can get away with singing very quietly or not at all if the dance routine is using up all her spare energy or concentration. This is why big production leaves me cold most of the time nowadays. Its not like when we saw Led Zeppelin where the spontaneity was completely obvious. There is no spontaneity in the Kylie show. Someone presses the play button and what live musicians there may be on stage just play along with the karaoke. Stars who cant sing? No problem! This machine will correct your pitch on stage and in the studio.
