When I was a young teen, I learned of a beverage that local people drank with their meals, who couldnt afford tea. It was called sweetwater. It was made simply dissolving cane syrup into water. Today I tried some for the first time. Well, it aint sweet tea, but it is certainly sweet, and easily swallowed. Problem is, these days, if you had to buy the syrup, tea is way cheaper. Considering my current economic bracket, I better be looking into as many frugal ideas as is possible. Sweetwater wasnt a stretch though. I mean, how bad could anything be with cane syrup in it?
