When I was back home the other week, a lot of people asked me about the financial side of living in Australia. When I explained that the minimum hourly wage was $22 (£12) they asked me about the cost of living; Today we spent $81.89 (£44.40) on a full weekly shop (including luxury items and items imported from Britain) for two people and are about to sign a contract for a nice house in Sydney for $120 (£64) pppw. This truly is the land of plenty!
