When I was getting gas today I looked across the road and watched as a policeman pulled over a red truck. The driver of the truck hopped out, slammed the door and headed toward the policeman who slowly met him and motioned to the truck. So the man turned and went back and opened the door. I watched as the policeman carefully followed him. I noticed though that his hand hovered over the gun in his holster. I held my breath. Fortunately, the man turned and handed the policeman his paperwork and they went on with their business. But it made me think about the possibility of danger with even the most routine situations. I know I say it a lot, but I am in awe of the courage is takes to do this job. I appreciate so much those who serve and willingly face the possibility of danger every day whether it is law enforcement, firefighters, or military!! A huge thank you from me!
