When I was growing up as a kid in Jowhar in mid sixties, - TopicsExpress

When I was growing up as a kid in Jowhar in mid sixties, everybody liked the American Peace Corps, some of us have even immitated their way of life in dressing and speaking in English of American accent. People talked about America as a land of opportunity the same way as this mighty country has been viewed centuries before I was born. with all the political, economic and security challenges it has faced in world wars and subsequent cold war and even the present war on terror, America is still a Land of Opportunity. Even if we do not agree with some of its foreign policies we have to praise America for its magnificent achievement from the time it has drafted its constitution 300 years ago to present and most importantly for holding that Title of Land of Opportunity for hundreds of years. Inspired by Dr. Osman painting (Blow) and dedicated to late Hussein Samatar, Founder of Afican Development Center in Minneapolis, MN.
