When I was in 2nd grade thru 6th grade (late 1976 thru 1981) I lived on 78th Circle just west of Antioch and I attended Antioch Elementary school which was on 75th St. just in front of the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Technically speaking the school was on the Merriam side of 75th St. and was in the Shawnee Mission North district. However on the south side of 75th St. was the Shawnee Mission West district. Im wondering why I and several others that I knew who lived south of 75th St. ended up going to a school that was technically in a different district. I think we actually should have gone to Comanche Elementary school but for some reason we all went to Antioch instead.
