When I was in DC with my manager, Dwayne AkaBlue Telesford, a few months back, we made the rounds to all of the major monuments, my favorite of which was Martin Luther King Jr.s. The incredibly impressive statue of his likeness at the center is wrapped with a long polished stone arc of quotes from this most articulate, illustrious humanitarian, activist, and man of faith. His words.......so undeniably truthful, timeless, and beautiful. Some of my favorite quotes: Let no man pull you low enough to hate him. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies. The ultimate test of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and moments of convenience, but where he stands in moments of challenge and moments of controversy.
