When I was in Mydin Mall Presint 15 purchasing some urgent items - TopicsExpress

When I was in Mydin Mall Presint 15 purchasing some urgent items to send to my childrens nursery (as I just started sending them to a new nursery, hence a few things left behind), I met an elderly Chinese aunt at the counter. She lined up right behind me. At the counter, there were two more ladies standing in line with basketful groceries. I knew I had to wait for quite some times for my turn. In my hands, theres only two things: A packet of wetwipes and a pair of socks. I looked back to the elderly aunt. I smiled to her and she returned me a gentle and warm smile too. I happened to see whats in her basket. Oh no. Its not only one. Its two baskets! Full with groceries and some cookies. Biskut raya to be exact. Yeah. Mydin sells a lot of biskut raya. I felt sorry for her. At her age, maybe around late 60s, has to do her grocery alone at this peak 12 noon hours, that must be tough. I leaned myself down towards her and told her to go first. To pay at the cashier after the 2 ladies in front of me. The aunt smiled endlessly. I helped her to draw her baskets closer to the cashier. She did speak to me a word or two while the cashier was scanning the barcodes. But what really touched my heart was her kind words after she paid the bill. Terima kasih ya. Terima kasih manyak. Lagi puasa, lagi tolong orang, itu Tuhan kasi you manyak pahala. Lagi manyak Tuhan kasi you senang nanti. Terima kasih ya. I felt overwhelmed. I dont know why but her kind words deeply touched the bottom of my heart. I could feel tears started blurring my vision, they were not running down the cheeks just yet, but I kept my eyes blinking to avoid the tears became obvious. Earlier today, I couldnt figure out wheres my Medela breastpump. I lost it or maybe someone had just misplaced it. I felt terrible. I was looking for it all over the house and basically everywhere but still couldnt find it. Later after I reached home, my brother called me. Telling me that hes at the doorstep dowstairs, came to send me his wifes extra breastpump for a rescue. I thanked my brother and sister in law. Alhamdulillah for the granted wish, Ya Allah. And what came a glimse in my mind was the Chinese aunts words. God bless you, Aunty. Maybe my small deed was really meaningful for you today. But your words are more meaningful for me. They mend my broken heart. And they remind me that good deeds will be rewarded, if not by people, but surely will be by God. Terima kasih to you too, aunty! Terima kasih manyak ya!
