When I was in school (in those olden days), a nation who was - TopicsExpress

When I was in school (in those olden days), a nation who was Communist was termed Communist. There was Communist Russia (remember that was the olden days) and Communist China...among others. As the years of public school have marched onward the Communist part of a nation has been dropped. Many students do not know what a Communist form of government actually is because this is either rarely taught or never taught in our public schools. If a student is not taught about a form of government (our nation or any other nation), then how will they recognize when their own country is transitioning to another form of government? And a form of government they may not particularly embrace. Well, they wont know. It may behoove us to know that these countries are Communist: China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, and Vietnam, so we can recognize them as such when and if we desire to know what is going on in our current events. Just a thought..........
