When I was joining the Army as an Infantry Officer, I asked a higher ranking officer what I should do to prepare for leadership. Among other things he suggested watching Braveheart, like this clip. And what is the key sign of leadership we see here? A leader is one who inspires an army to be willing to sacrifice their lives so that others can receive something they may lose, freedom, life, peace (and that it also helps to paint your face blue and carry a really big sword sometimes). We expect to lead and be led. In the absence of orders I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations. I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity...if knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight (Navy Seal Ethos). Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Messiah Yeshua (2 Tim. 2:3).
