When I was just 19, I was accepted to Ryerson University in Toronto and planned to find an apartment on my own in the city. Instead, Gary Marsh offered that I move in with him until I got to know the city. I still remember my first dinner with him; Vietnamese food on Spadina. Everything was so foreign, exciting and terrifying at once. He drove me to my campus to see where my school was and helped me map my subway route. It feels like a lifetime ago, but I remember hearing Give A Little Bit by Supertramp as his ringtone like it was just days ago. When I think of Gary, I think of his heart of gold and how much he loved to brag about his daughters Celyn Marsh and SteveNraechelle Devlin.
