When I was little I really wanted to grow up and have one of those neighbors who drops in all of the time unannounced for all kinds of reasons like I saw on sitcoms. Someone who just seamlessly enters and exits, sharing the minutia of your day as well as your triumphs and tragedies. Boy did I get that in spades with Deborah Sandidge. Shes walked our dog, picked our kids up at day care when Im stuck in traffic, cheerleaded our lemonade stands and report cards, literally massaged our pains away, made up fantastical stories at bedtime, baked James birthday cake every year on Christmas, lent an ear and wisdom when needed, and the list goes on. Tonight as I passed her in my pjs while she headed out to walk out dog and said hey yell up the stairs when you get back so I can come down and say goodnight I thought OMG I got my wish! So blessed.
