When I was little I used to go into my Nonos basement cellar, and he had some large barrels in there with lids on them, wondering what they were I opened one of the lids to find the inside completely lined with snails, I was like woahhh wtf so many snails and why? later I found out that they were raised for food, many of you will think this is gross, and then go to wendys or mcdonalds and pound back the factory farmed chemical soup. To be free does not mean to be able to choose between pizza hut and dominos, it means to be an independent human being who does not depend on a system set up by someone else that is their to feed off of you. Back in the day people did not grow their own food because it was cool or eco friendly they grew it out of necessity and an understanding of the power and connection that comes from growing your own food. Lets get back to the miraculous connection that taking control of our own lives gives to us.
