When I was living in the moldy house and immediately after experiencing a head injury, I acquired simultaneously ME/CFS plus a condition that was appropriately diagnosed as rapid-cycling Bipolar II (with irritable hypomanias and suicidal lows). And the mood swings were the worst thing that Ive ever experienced in my life. Lamictal helped a lot. But what helped even more was getting out of the moldy house and detoxing an enormous amount of mold toxin - or at least, something that I and others reacted to like it was mold toxin - out my brain. (The catalyst for that happening was taking a high dosage of Natrum Sulphuricum, a phenomenon that I still dont understand.) And now, for more than three years, my moods have been stable, without any medication at all. (Being irritable once in a while when people do annoying things is not the same thing as having Bipolar II, btw, just as being tired is not the same thing as ME/CFS. Believe me, those things are not the same.) Whether mold is the cause of at least some cases of bipolar, I dont know. But I dont think it is unrelated. So I am interested in the fact that Robin Williams lived Tiburon. Because Marin County seems to be almost as bad as Berkeley/Oakland in terms of the outdoor Mystery Toxin -- or according to some people, maybe even worse.
