When I was part of the work-study program from 72-75 at KSC, one of my duties was to catalogue and maintain the costume collection that existed at the time. I was amazed at the treasures found there from beautiful Shakespearean doublets to vintage beaded covered chiffon dresses from the 20s. Things werent given the gentle treatment they should have at that point, but it is amazing to me that, a) the Theatre Dept at KSC is gone and b) that their inventory was going to the scrap heap until this alumnus made arrangement for it to live on. Note to those who would dispose of such rarities: there is a finite collection of original garments from the past and they need to be preserved and honored.
