When I was pregnant with my beautiful baby boy, my mother told me a story about my great grandma Jean. She told me that when I was only 4 months old, she was changing my diaper at my grandma Jeans house and she looked over at my grandma who was sitting on the stairs and noticed that she was crying. My mom asked her what was wrong and with tears in her eyes, she said It breaks my heart to know that I wont still be around when Briana is old enough and has a baby of her own. I will never make it to see my great great grand children. So last December, when my son was only 4 months old, I made it a point to take my son to visit his great great grand mother. And I am so so glad that I made that trip when I did. Because early this morning God decided to take my precious great grandma Jean, turn her into one of his beautiful angels, and reunite her with my papa Manuel who has been patiently waiting for her for 16 years now. I am so grateful that God kept her here, in good health and high spirits, long enough to be able to meet her great great grandson that she never believed she would. Although she will be terribly missed, as is my papa Manuel, it is such a wonderful feeling knowing that my grandma and papa are now together again. And I cant even begin to explain the sense of comfort I have knowing that she is now in a better place as a guardian angel, looking over my son and I. I love you grandma Jean, you were truly an amazing person and honestly the sweetest lady I have ever known. I couldnt have asked for a better great grandma or a better holiday party host lol Growing up, holidays were always the best at your house with my dad, Kimberly Varela, Daniel Varela, Jimmy Manuel Mozingo, Josh Mozingo, Kerri Mozingo, Lucy Falkenberg, Chris Falkenberg, Tami-brad Spaans, Chad Gunville, Chantel Gunny, Aunt Nancy, Melissa Ybarra, Haley Wilcox, and Aunty Allison. (Sorry if I forgot anyone, I was really young lol) You are always and forever in our hearts Grandma. R.I.P.
