When I was still a kid in elementary school this movie was on television one weekend when I was at home all day. The movie was about a man who had been trapped in a cave, and the rescue effort was intentionally dragged out by the news media and by politicians who wanted to keep on making speeches and by hot dog vendors who wanted to keep on selling hot dogs and by companies that ran carnivals with kiddy rides and by some opportunistic song writer who wrote some hackneyed song about it. It was deliberately turned into a media circus, and the rescue was made to take much longer than was necessary to get that trapped man out of that cave. The so called rescuers used the tragedy to get themselves more rich and famous through all of the publicity. They dragged it out too long, and Leo died in the cave. youtube/watch?v=c8hDUnmrkcw
