When I was working with Clarion Mumbai as an art director, had a chance to meet the legend face to face. We were working on a brochure for Times Bank. We wanted to use common man. He agreed to draw some illustrations based on each section about the bank. He listened to use carefully and said that he will do it his way. Well, of course, exactly what we wanted. After a week he called us to take a look at the rough drawings. I was so excited to see the drawings I actually took them with me and still have a couple of them in my house in Pune. Sad thing is they have no signature. In one of the meeting he asked me how long I had been working with the agency. Just a few months I replied.
