When I was young I used to sing this song to help calm myself down. Its always been one of my favorite hymns, and whenever I am sad or in need of comfort it has always come easily to my mind. When I was newly married, I was telling my mom how hymns helped me through rough times and she told me that she had a very difficult time when she was pregnancy with me and to keep her mind off of other things she worked on memorizing All Creatures Of Our God and King so she sang it all the time. She had never told me that before, and I had not told her which hymn I always sang. This song will always hold a special place in my heart, even more so knowing the background.
