When I was young and new in The Lord - and ministry - I was so confident, even arrogant in the faith. I was so certain that I had all the doctrines and theology ENTIRELY sorted out. Now I am getting old and through Gods gentle rebuke and sometimes stern discipline - together with hard life experience - I have learned. - I have learned I am not always right. - I have learned I am not the greatest theologian or preacher - I have learned I am not strong - I have learned I cannot overcome anything without Him - I have learned I cannot grow churches - I have learned to listen to my enemies - I have learned to be open to new truth - I have learned to change - I have learned that, other than God, nothing is more important than family. - I am learning to love people who dont love me - I have learned to move on from my failures - I have truly learned of my own depravity - I have learned only Jesus can save - I have learned that Jesus is Lord And I have learned I have still much to learn.
