When I was younger I thought I would not want children and I got a lot of the youll change your mind comments, this made me question what I wanted and made me think that I needed to come to terms with the idea of having a kid, and find a way to be happy when the time inevitably comes... I thought to myself for a few years of ways I could be excited about having a kid one day. Over the last year though I find myself going back to my original view, having a kid is a personal choice that I would be very happy not making. I have such big goals in life, and I plan on dedicating my life to teaching and helping develop other peoples children. I dont think I would have the time or resources to do the mother thing the way I believe it needs to be done. I dont like to do things half way. This was a good article. It helps me not feel so guilty for wanting a different life than what society says I should have. If it happens it happens but I dont want to feel like its something I HAVE to do as a duty to our species or my blood line.
