When I was younger I was guilty of such a sin too.....my grandmother told me, Sissy, you know in your heart what is right to do and if you always do what you know in your heart is right, then you will have a big stick to fight the world with, and remember, your granny gave you that big stick. So I quit what I was doing because she was right. I had thought maybe I was justified in my behavior because of my husbands behavior, but then I realized that I had to live with me, and he had to live with him. Then later in life I realized that part of the armor of God is the breastplate of righteousness and its there to protect our hearts. If we dont use it properly, then we dont feel worthy to share the gospel and likewise, others dont view us as worthy to share it either because they see us as hypocrites. The accuser uses our sins against us just as the Pharisees used this womans sin against her, the less we sin, the less he has to accuse us of in our own minds and the minds of others......good passage of scripture.
