When I went for my consultation at the James for my options with - TopicsExpress

When I went for my consultation at the James for my options with throat cancer, they wanted to remove the majority of what is left of my vocal cords after the 1st surgery. I told them I would consider radiation instead because I didnt want to never be able to sing again, (after all, singing praises is my therapy). Then they said singers dont smoke, and smokers dont sing. They also informed me that radiation would also harden my vocals cords so that they could not vibrate anymore, and I would not be able to keep the stamina before rasping out. It took me 4 months of fasting and praying to decide to go through with anything at all. I will soon not be able to wear my teeth at all anymore due to bone loss, and radiation ruined my chances of implants. Which I thought that would prevent me from singing back when I was 33. I promised Him that I would use my voice to spread His Good News if He would save it...and as usual, He is faithful even when I havent been. So I am singing this 1st song with no teeth and in front of my radiation mask that I painted red to represent my voice being saved only by the blood of Jesus. This is my public confession of my commitment to never keep my voice hidden and buried again for as long as He allows me to have one. Thank You Jesus for Your miracle of Life
