When Im around other people with CPTSD and PTSD I hardly have to explain anything nor do any of them have to explain much to me. We are all familiar with the same list of effects and symptoms. Someone says, Im lonely, but I dont know how to get along with people who dont have this and they think Im crazy. The rest of the group nods because thats how it is for us too, and we understand. I am grateful to know that Im not alone, but theres so much life to be lived outside of support groups and thats what I want to do.
