When Im handing out the anti-capitalism leaflets that Ive written, I cant help thinking about a friend of mine who hands out religious leaflets that he has written. Hes a sweet guy. His leaflets say that wed have a better world if everyone would love one another. Thats certainly true -- and to some extent, thats what my leaflets say, too. But he has all sorts of crazy religious reasons why people should love one another, reasons involving stories of supernatural events. Nearly any ordinary person who reads even a few sentences of his leaflet will classify him as a crackpot. I wonder how ordinary people classify me, when they read a few sentences of my leaflet. (And dont bother answering. I know that none of my Facebook friends are ordinary people.)
